Can someone explain to me why, if you want to sell certs, a company the size of Tucows doesn't become a certificate authority?
I've never understood this reselling of a resold certificate approach. Other than maybe some degree of convenience offered to your resellers by rolling this into a unified API, there can't be any advantages to this three-level cockup of a reseller scheme. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kim Phelan" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "John Peacock" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Cc: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, May 26, 2006 2:54 PM Subject: Re: [domains-gen] Verisign buys Geotrust ? I do not presume that you are naïve, but want you to know that we will be making sure that we are on top of any changes, and will have our backup-plans in place if things are to change for the worst. I'd say that we are"cautiously optimisitic" at this point, but we are making sure that our (and your) business is protected.
