For years I have been using a self-signed certificate for the secure
tools area of my site for my customers. I have accompanied this with a
message explaining how to ignore and click through the warnings. I
figure it's about time I improve this by throwing some money at the cert
cartel (as dirty as it makes me feel) since prices have become
accessible enough. (Before now, it just hasn't been worthwhile in my mind.)

I can throw 19 bucks at GoDaddy to do this. Can someone give me a
reason why I might want to consider setting myself up to resell the
Geotrust certs through Tucows, at the higher cost?
