Because auctions are dominated by domainers and would-be-domainers they reflect a very different perception of the value of names than the average consumer or small business owner would. I think the after-market is waking up to the fact that it's just been selling to itself and that the bigger opportunity is selling names to "real people". Call it selling retail vs. wholesale. We sent an email out a few weeks ago letting everyone running an auction know that the price was about to revert to what it was originally. If you didn't get that email I suggest you update the email associated with your account so that you get future messages. I'm very frustrated by our inability to connect with many customers where we don't have updated information. So much so that we've had a team of three people working for months now on email, snail mailing and calling every customer we can to get them to update their information so we DO have a way to communicate with you about changes.
