Good thread Debbie!

I have been playing bass guitar for almost 18 years now..... I was inspired
to pick up bass by Gene Simmons of KISS and Gary Tibbs of Adam & The Ants. I
then went on to discover Billy Sheehan of David Lee Roth/Mr Big, John Deacon
of Queen and my two biggest bass influences (outside of Gene!) - step
forward my bass heroes - Peter Cetera of Chicago and Tiran Porter of The
Doobes (of course!).

I love many forms of music from Jazz/Big Band to Motown to Metal to Funk but
the main bands/people who provide the soundtrack to my existance include:
The Doobies, Chicago, KISS, Queen, Steely Dan, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Ambrosia,
Atlanta Rhythm Section and Tommy Shaw (whether solo, in Damn Yankees,
Shaw/Blades or Styx)....

I'm a bit of a rocker.....but I love my brass sections as well!

Take care all,

Gary (the Limey Doobie!)
