Or encourage classic rock stations or easy listening stations to have a
Sunday afternoon format of a group with history, interviews and playing their
former hits as an intro to playing their current CD.
The problem with classic rock, oldies but goodies etc stations is that they
KEEP THE BANDS FROZEN IN THE PAST and do not acknowledge current events,
tunes or success after the end date of records they play. Even the bio shows
they have for a group usually is history only, not giving any or much air
time on current activities or releases.
That's the problem with the critics down playing the SR CD, they are judging
the Doobies on what was _+_+_+ years ago, or when Michael McD was with them
to what is now; instead of judging the CD for it's own merits. The band
ain't gonna sound like it was when different people were in it as vocals but
that doesn't mean they aren't as good or better than that now!!!!!
Either get me off this soapbox or get this headache out of my face!! Either
way, I'm sure I'll sound off another time later......
