No specific ideas Terry, but my Gnome desktop has died a couple of times
when I've left the computer on for many hours.
I'm trying it now without power-down and a blank screen for the saver.
I've also had one unstart from boot-up, could be a hardware problem,
happened with Vista(and required 45 minutes of 'repair'), but never with
9.10.
