Although he has not articulated himself very well - he is right. Ubuntu
does support multiple monitors just fine (at least X does). The drivers
will be causing the problems.
Like I say though - this needs to be better articulated to 'the layman'
who can then see the problems with the binary drivers. Sadly most
'laypeople' couldn't much care about these problems and until "it just
works (tm)" it will be Ubuntus fault.
It would help if Ubuntu moves over to the open source Nvidia driver
(nouveau) which supports multiple monitors better than the Binary driver
from Nvidia.
