So, it looks as if the AV is also no longer supported, which is really
annoying because the error message I've been getting every day by email
reads:
Antivirus scanner definition file update failed due to download failure. Check
your Internet connection.
If Netgear had simply put a more meaningful error message in the last
update before they shut down support, I wouldn't have had this problem.
I've disabled AV in the box, which is not ideal, but at least it will
shut it up.
I still don't understand why the error messages didn't start until we
got the new Router.
