I have now ownership on the mission statement and guess that when started
everyone was assisted. Time has a way of changing your thoughts and plans
doesn't it?

I know that Google is big around my parts and in some areas of the world it
may be unknown. I don't think that matters one way or another. If you are
expecting us to explain how to search for yourself for the most basic info
in technology you may be in the wrong place. Or you may be in the wrong
University program.

Lastly I am a firm believer of show your work for partial credit. If you
just ask Qs here expecting us to do all your work for you I hope you have a
thick skin. On the flip side when you state I am having doubt when I try
this.. When it gets to .. It fails, I see that you are looking for help not
the entire solution.

Stephen, I totally agree with your statement that this group is to "help
people learn HOW to solve the problem" and I appreciate that, but if any of
the immediate replies made to asit had asked him (politely) to google it
himself, there would have been no problem and I would have believed you
taught a man to fish.

Certainly, mocking at a person seems to be going beyond the line of ethics.
It is not going to invite new users and is surely not making this the "most
popular Google group for discussions on Microsoft.NETR and related
technologies".

It would make newbies nervous and the rest think that this group needs
better moderators. I read the welcome message of this group:

"Whether you're an Expert consultant, IT Professional, Programmer, Student
or simply a Newbie, please feel free to interact with other members, ask
questions and share your knowledge"

If bitter dirty sarcasm is going to be the common answer, it is better to
remove the above statement.

Santosh, we here try to help often when someone submits a question that they

Those people usually provide some working explanation as to where they are
in the problem and what is not working.

Sometime ago this list URL was thought to be the place to get your homework
answers for university.

Many of us are trying to help people learn HOW to solve the problem not
provide the solution. That is what is expected when you graduate correct?

If you don't know about Google then there is probably a similar search site
that you would use in your country. Use that, it should get you to what
Nortwind was, how to download it, and what it was replaced with.

If you don't know what a search engine is and you are in university classes
for IT, you are fooling yourself.

"Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you
feed him for a lifetime."

Is it any wrong with some one to ask for a fish in a fish gallery ??

And answer them go for fishing !!

If somebody asked a question here it is not mean that they don't know
Google.

They may want to know what one experienced one want to tell about it. Yes,
there are some silly questions about basic language syntax. But the question
here had some sense as he have a doubt that if the DB is really needed for
the working of the SQL Server, also his mail title tell it, if you r not
interested, why open it and make fun of him . As it is a celebrated one his
doubt is genuine and he expect some simple answer, i was annoyed to see that
none of the first 10 post tell about a single world about it only i found
'jack me' giving ans. Any way i like <http://letmegooglethatforyou.com/>

If Google was the answer to all the question please tell the aims and
objectives of this forum. Please paste
