You can control DQSD just about any way you could want. To override
any existing search with another you just create an alias that
overwrites the existing mapping. Add this to localaliases.txt, on
it's own line:

  dic|mwd %s

This will change the behavior of "dic" to search the Merriam Webster
instead. HOWEVER, you can also shorten that a bit by using the
default shorter search alias for MW of ":". Try this in DQSD (note
the preceeding colon):

  :whatever
