Congratulations! Certainly not an "easy" fix, but then "nuthin's ever easy".... :-)
Your bow is well deserved, and thanks for sharing with us your repair procedure. There are far too many who would just "part out" a radio with that sort of "irreplaceable" broken part. Personally I think there's a reason so few Drake 4 Line parts units are around, (not counting the EB 'breakers',) they CAN be repaired.
