Hello Drake Aficionados, I recently purchased a late serial number Drake RV-4C and when I connected it to a TR-4 I noticed the dial lamp wasn't very bright. On further checking I found that the bulb was a #53 as called for in the schematic, but there is a 1 watt dropping resistor in series with the 12v AC line that is reducing the 12V to 6V.
My question then...was this a production change made by Drake or was it a modification made by a previous owner?
