Dennis: Have you tried reseating all of the boards. The R7's and TR7's suffer from oxidation on the board connectors. Simply removing and replacing each board typically fixes problems like you are experiencing. Do the same to each of the cable connectors to each board as well as the power supply board hiding behind the antenna switch on the right side of the front panel.
