This sounds like the same thing I was thinking - include current stable
patch right after 4.2.0 is released, is it not ?

GATOS CVS is not going away, even after this inclusion, there are still a
ton of things to do:
   * TV-out
   * AFC and support for channel scan
   * Support other deinterlacing modes and not only Bob.
