I just want to agree. Open Source will only exist in cases where the vendor just cares enough for Linux support to release enough specs but cant or wont care for this himselves. Further the aspects of his intellectual property values must be meet. If the vendor is picky on that then open source will possibly have bad luck. If both are good then its just a matter of OpenSource programmers in the end.
