IIRC there used to be an inexplicable performance drop at 1024x768 virtual resolution for some, have you tried something different?


I tried several resolutions:

              AGP1 AGP4
 640x480-16:  693  693
 800x600-16:  649  665
1024x768-16:  618  620
1152x864-16:  603  624

I've seen numbers this high from software rasterization in fast (2.8+) cpu's.
