Felix,

Very nice. I'll try it latter. What version of Xfree86 did you test it?

bye.

Hi savage users,

I finally managed to port the savage 3D driver to the Mesa version in
DRI CVS. I just committed it to the savage-2-0-0-branch. Testers are
welcome. I am aware that there are still several problems with the
driver but I havn't seen anything so far that didn't occur with the
original driver from the S3 code drop compiled with Mesa.

Known problems:
- occasional "spontaneous" lockups (quite rare)
- almost certain lockups on vt switches and when moving 3D windows
- texture corruption when viewing some textures at very flat angles
- line width is ignored
- some line drawings are compressed vertically by a factor 2

My system has a ProSavage DDR chip. There is a compile-time switch
somewhere for Savage4. It's possible that it doesn't work on Savage4 out
of the box.

That's all I can think of for now.

Best regards,
  Felix
