Three things I don't know are.

1. What needs to be donated so IP issues are paid for?
2. Can programs like UT200? contain there own decompressor for software fallbacks?
3. Has there been any contact from S3?
 It's not my intention to flame, don't bother if all you can say in response is NO.
   3a. Any legal advice on patches that _ONLY_AID_ integration?
   3b. What about generic texture load/save functions provided by the app(see 2) for 
ANY format?
       3b+. Can a lib prelinked with an app provide these generic functions?
