Anyway at this point we may see if by making the image larger and use CSS to make it show small in some pages (results list) and bigger in others (full view of item). What you're saying doesn't make sense... when downscaling, you can improve resolution only by making it larger. I assumed that you need 2 different resolutions for 2 different uses within DSpace (a larger thumbnail and a smaller one). Since filter-media creates just one size, would sense to a) downscale in CSS or b) modify filter-media to create 2 different sizes (which is a bit more difficult). So what is it that you need?
