More people on board of DSPAM certainly wouldn't hurt.
That's a plus, I grant you that.

The problem is with not enough people present on each of
those we could end up with limited amount of expertise
spread thinly.

E.g. so far nobody answered my question on explicit
whitelisting in DSPAM. :-(

OK, if nobody here knows this particular corner of DSPAM,
tough, I know it now - but with web-based forums, I'd have
to post this question in several places and track each of
those. Sure, that can be done, but it's our _time_ that is
increasingly scarce resource. It's not that I wouldn't
bother to expend the effort, it's just timing constraints
are harder and harder on me.
