Just wondering if you have considered the HOT SPOT as your first attempt with D-STAR?. It will allow you to bring DSTAR into your area for the cost of one analog 9600baud capable radio and 110.00 for a HOT SPOT board to interface the radio to the internet. Sure cheaper than trying to get the large investment required for an ICOM unit when not many folks own D-STAR equipment,

I am doing some research on DSTAR possibilities here in Montana. Does anyone have an actual map that is current with all the DSTAR sites whether they gateways or repeaters or such in North America? Any help would be appreciated.
