Are you sure the AC adapter is any good ? I know it sounds corny, but
that seems to be a common denominator.
As for the battery, it sounds like they are all dead or need to be
reconditioned.

Try a different adapter.
I suppose its possible that all the units have a bad/broekn AC
adapter plug, but that seems like a big coincidence to me. Just for
giggles, check the AC adapter plugs for solder breaks.
