And how were you able to remove the old CPU? I don't have a 2300 but it it's
the same as other Duos, the CPU is permanently soldered in and to desolder
it would require a nerve of steel and lots of patience or a special SMD chip
desoldering tool

I've thought about replacing the stock 280 CPU with one that has full FPU
and support higher speed but I haven't tried as there's a matter of
heatsink.  And a higher speed '040 without FPU isn't easy to find.
