I have used my stock 180/80/1.3 2400c to record digital audio! 

16 bit! 

No hum or whatever - right through the line-in.

Hey, I think it works great! You can even used a RAM based $30 recording
software like SoundSculptor! Really, if you forget about the analog v.
digital argument (a legit one, too) we have better tools now then ever!!

I've burns tons of CD-Rs without fail with my 2400c. In fact, I haven't yet
made a coaster (knock on wood).

Sequencing works great.

The 2400c has it's limits, and of course a desktop PCI will give you a lot
more, but within the "comet's" limits, the 2400c packs a wallop!
