I'm not talking about anything Steve said at the WWDC in 98. It was someone from the
hardware or PowerBook group....and they weren't talking about a "thin notebook", they
were talking about a subnotebook. Lombard is the professional PowerBook they were
referring to, and iBook is the consumer notebook they were referring to. The
subnotebook was clearly described as a third product that was planned, and they
explained that they only had the resources to focus on the two mainstream products,
and then they would release the subnotebook later.
