The cd-rom drive has a 50-pin centronics connection, and the new scanner is
a "scsi 2" with a DB-25. Could my problem be that the scanner software
made it so my computer can only recognise scsi 2 devices? If so that's
obviously a problem! (Because I intend to use both, although not connected
at the same time.) Oh, and all the troubleshooting stuff for the scanner
is on the installation CD, which I now can't access. :-P

Any ideas about what's going on or what I can do?

Corina
