I'd just like to add to this that there are a vast myriad of reasons *not* to
allow people to see what someone's filters are and who are on those filters,
which seems to be what some people here are asking for.

Most people I know who filter do it for the sake of not inconveniencing others:
for example, making it so that friends who aren't interested in posts related
to X fandom don't have to sift through them. But sometimes the filters are
specifically for privacy reasons, for anything from planning a surprise party
for someone on your friendslist to discussing personal matters like medical
issues. If I don't want a given person on one of my filters, it's certainly not
their business to know that a) that there is such a filter, b) what it's
called, or c) who's on the filter, unless I *choose* to tell them.

I really, really hope throwing open to public consumption the filters of any
given user is not in the plans for DW, because that alone would be enough to
make sure I never set a foot in the service.
