Hi, just a lurker speaking up... This below would be an amazing option to have, IMO. It's very popular on fannish sites in Japan -- they call it a "web clap" over there.

In either case, I would love to have a button to click that says "yay, I read this and it was great" without actually, you know, commenting. In an ideal world, this would be an option that people could put on posts that they want feedback on, like a mini-poll. (Just a thought... and if you've already thought of it, all to the better!!)
