Another lurker here.  Having been on Ravelry for a long time, I can
say unequivocally that the "agree" and "disagree" options are abused
and are often an enormous cause of strife.  Every community on Ravelry
has at least one long thread about who the "phantom disagreeers" are,
and many people use the options to troll.  I think using Ravelry's
system or something like it would be opening up a huge can of worms,
especially since this would be attached to personal posts in personal
journals and not just public communities.  Perhaps if there was just a
way for individuals to opt out of any kind of "karma" or "webclap"
system, that would take care of the issue?  Just thought I'd drop in
my 2 cents here.
