In that case - would we want to 'rejigger' ESN anyway? I can't be the only person who tags entries AFTER I've hit 'post'. Which means, on the off chance, anyone watching specific tags on my journal would NEVER be notified when I post w/ something tagged as foo: bar or just foo, or whatever, b/c I almost never put the tags in when I post and I doubt I'm the only one.
However, if we can find a way to list tags on the update.bml page, ESN should keep trucking along just fine as is. When you choose 'custom' from the 'show this entry to' box, you get a drop-down of all of your custom friend groups. Could that same logic, w/ the hierarchical tag structure, be applied to the tag field? Click a button, get a list of your top level tags, checkbox which of those you need to child tags for, checkbox those tags to add, then post? *tosses out more ideas* On Wed, Mar 18, 2009 at 3:20 PM, zvi <[email protected]>wrote: > ESN would have to be rejiggered (or maybe the database writing on > update.bml would, I'm not exactly sure where the change would need to come), > but if you have a subscription to someone's tags, you only a receive > subscription notice based on the tags that they originally post with, not > based on tags they add to the entry later. > > -- Highlander II Currently reading: "Furies of Calderon" by Jim Butcher http://www.h2smsk.com http://hdresdenwizard.h2smsk.com http://vanhelsing.h2smsk.com/ http://jamesmarsters.h2smsk.com
