But the only reason we have to choose is because we don't have boolean
tags. If we had, we could just tag one post fic and sg1, and another
fic and hp, and then if we just want to see hp fics, we'd choose to
display fic AND hp, which would eliminate at least one reason for
using hierarchical tags.

(Not the only one, of course. We could still have
medium:fic/medium:art and fandom:hp/fandom:sg1. But at least it would
make things easier.)
