It probably is; if it can't be done, it can't be done.  Some of
the other suggestions strike me (non-programmer) as equally

Yes, that's something I'd like to be able to do, so that I don't
have to create that relationship from scratch on the mouseymouse
page.

I've no objection to personal choice of delimiters.  I think the
colon or the | would work best.
