I'm not opposed to there being a button.  If there is really
somebody out there who is willing to read 40 pages of anything on
their reading page without a cut because the integrity of the
OP's intentions is that important to them, and that's you, my
hat's off to you :)

But I do think it's an accessibility issue for a lot of folks
when you get to the really loooooooooooooooong posts.

If I were that attached to making people read things as I
intended them to, personally, I would not post to a journalling
service, I'd blog, so that people would have to look at it in my
colour scheme and my layout and my everything.

When you post to a journalling service you are pretty much
signing on to the idea that people are going to look at your
stuff through style=mine, on reading pages, with or without
embedded content...

If I cared enough to care whether people force-cut my long posts,
I would post some other kind of place I guess.

YMMV and obviously does I guess.
