Thanks, rho. I happened to be asleep through all of this.

Official position is that this is the sort of thing we won't even  
begin to think about until well after open beta, when we can have the  
discussion on DW itself and come to, if not a consensus, than at  
least a point where all sides have adequately defined their  
positions. This is not the kind of thing that can be solved overnight.

I'd also like everyone to remember that every time you send a message  
to this mailing list, you are sending it to over six hundred people.  
Please ask yourself if you really, really, really need to CC the  
mailing list when replying to someone. There's generally no reson to  
post anything along the lines of a "me too" to the mailing list as  
well as to the author of the message you're replying to.

We will be moving the various functions of the dw-discuss mailing  
list to DW itself shortly after site opening, but until then, I'd  
like to ask everyone to just hold on to your ideas for a few weeks.  
Nothing can get implemented in between now and open beta, and we are  
very, very, very busy. Moderating complex mailing list discussions is  
not the best use of our time right now, so let's hold this sort of  
discussion later.
