This is because at one = time WriteLog did not have a selection option for the Pro II, thus I set my = Pro II interface address at '5C' so it would be addressable as a Pro, and I = have never changed it back. In DXBase2004 I have the software options set as: Icom IC-756PRO COM1 (although it also works with all my 10 com ports resulting from = the installation of 2 Byterunner 4 port PCI cards) 19200/8/1 (also works fine at 9600, but this seems just a tad faster) Parity NONE DTR HIGH (Actually works just as well with this unchecked) In the radio I have these settings: CI-V Baud Rate 19200 CI-V Address 5ch CI-V Transceive ON CI-V w/IC731 OFF I am using the ICOM CT-17. I have it connected to the computer with an off the shelf DB9 to DB25 = Modem cable. This cable connects all 9 pins from the DB9 to the appropriate = pins on the DB25, plus shield. This cable is overkill, probably only 3 wire would need to be run, but it was available prebuilt, so I used it.
