>From the N1MM reflector: This is according to CEPT regulations. When we go to England we have to sign M/owncallsign. So both stations where in England. There is no need anymore like it used to be some years ago to append /P or /M. M is one of the normal prefixes in England. (Scotland is MM, Jersey is MJ, etc...) have noticed something similar for another country, namely France. Worked F/G4BJM and N1MM refused to see the prefix as F0.
73 Marc, ON7SS - OO9O So it's a prefix and not a suffix AND according to regulations. I have not looked at the code but my first guess is that /M is designation for mobile which isn't a country and since people often switch the order of their modifiers. DXBase could be treating M/ as mobile. 73 Neal On Mon, May 30, 2011 at 8:41 PM, KB2000a <kb20...@hotmail.com> wrote: > > This discussion has been going around the N1MM mail for a few days, so > thought I'd try it in DXBase.
