Jim In which case the logging programmes are WRONG!
/M has NEVER ever been a legal suffix to indicate a station is in England M/ is legally required PREFIX (and only prefix) for vistors to England operating under CEPT England, and other countries of the UK , have never had "call areas" so a numeral, however desirable for the logging programmes shortcomings is not required, is not legal to use either! This really is a fuss about nothing 1 - the OPERATOR should be in charge of his staion not the computer 2 - there were 2 stations using M/ calls I saw spotted over the weekend. It takes less than 30 seconds using DXBase to add these as full callsign maps. One of those is really operating illegally as the use of M/ is intended to be a short term visitor (maybe CEPT says 1 month?) and he has lived in England for a number of years. Maybe he really does go home each month a reset the clock? 73 Fred G4BWP The M/ or /M for the most part most logging programs consider this to be England "G". ______________________________________________________________ Dxbase mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dxbase Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dxbase@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
