50 Grand? You're dreaming! 2 or 3 listings a year. ROTFLMAO!

You could have a fully working e-lance style clone setup, and
running within 4 days for around $200. Check out this script:
http://smarterscripts.com/freelancers/

The very successful ScriptLance website regular lists e-gold
related design projects every month, and the programmers
are quite happy to meet this need. Most of the time, people
want forced matrix type scripts, autopayment systems and
modifications to existing shopping cart software to accept
e-gold based payments. http://www.scriptlance.com/

Personally I think you idea is great, but e-gold is not going
to help you, and I'll tell you why ...

On ScriptLance (and other websites), programmers can join
and provide their service quotes very cheaply. If they win the
project, then most programmers will start a discussion and
create a "demo" project. Once a webmaster is happy with the
"demo", they then log into ScriptLance, and send the money
through their system directly to the programmer. They also
leave feedback. Then the webmaster waits for the programmer
to send over the source code, or install the script on a server.

What is to stop a person from listing a low bid, getting the
project, creating a "mock-up" solution, and asking for 50%
before completing the rest of the project, and then simply
running away with your E-Gold? Would there be any real
way to track down the programmers that do this? (In case
you are wondering, this has happened to me twice now)

Establishing the element of "trust" would be your major
barrier to entry, and not the lack of $50,000.
