One of the reasons producers can flourish in the U.S. is that for over 200 years a remnant (10%?) of very cranky and stubborn people have resisted the government's endless efforts to confiscate or eliminate private property. Some would say the remnant have not been very successful, but you're right George, just compare the U.S. to the rest of the world and you can see how successful they've actually been. Without that remnant the U.S. would be just another Sweden.
