I'm sorry, but I'd say -1 this is non standard behavior which breaks my
expectations (or even worse - change them...)

Perhaps a variant is to introduce some new AdvancedIDEAUltraLazyLookAndFeel
but creating such would be labor consuming endless task and IMO IDEA is
pretty convenient as is <rant>yeah, I do have to press Enter, I even use
Shift and CAPS-LOCK..<rant/>

I also wonder what do the Mac people think about using option+q for
javadoc...
