I'm glad that you are working to find a good balance. In my opinion, a
successful plugin would be one that integrates so well into the product that
you never know it is there (except when you choose it from the preferences
panel the first time and it gets downloaded and installed). One of the
problems I have with editors I've used in the past (BBEdit and JEdit for
example), is that a lot of the key functionality is in the "Plugins" menu and
not integrated into the program.
