Nick:
Hello! Yes, this is a known bug in the latest echoWinVNC build. We'll
fix that for the 1.2 release, which *should* be available within a week.
thanks,
Scott

I am evaluating EchoWare RSS as a support tool for a small software
development company. We would like to use the EchoWinVNC, as we
don’t want to have to preinstall software on out client’s PC.
We have run into an issue with clients who are running a standard
WinVNC server on their PC’s for internal support. When the
EchoWinVNC tries to connect, it just drops down to the system tray.
We discovered (using a trial of an on-line support server) that
they had a WinVNC server running. Once this was closed, EchoWinVNC
connected.
Our end users are not very computer savvy. So having them find and
close a running VNC server is not a viable option.
Are there any workarounds for this?
The UltraVNC SC server will connect with another VNC server
running. Can EchoWinVNC possibly utilize the UltraVNC SC code?
Thanks!
