Heyaz. Some beta-testers found out that this version of
echoWinVNC has revealed a problem in the older version of
echoWare (1.70) used by EchoVNC 1.40a. The result being:
when connecting to echoWinVNC 1.2 with EchoVNC 1.40a,
with encryption active, causes a crash on the EchoVNC side.
Encryption off doesn't have the same problem.

A workaround for this is to update the echoWare DLL
version in your EchoVNC install folder. Replace it with the
1.81 DLL available here:

ftp://ftp.echogent.com/EchoWare/beta/EchoWare_1.81.zip

I'll check to see if we can build a workaround into
echoWare itself, so that it remains backwards compatible,
with encryption.

BTW...thanks for all the feedback from the beta-testers!

cheers,
Scott

Third time's the charm. :) The 1.2 beta is available again, this
time using the more table 1.81 DLL.

thanks,
Scott

Heyaz. The latest beta of EchoWinVNC is now available:

ftp://ftp.echogent.com/EchoWinVNC/beta/echoWinVNC.exe

It should fix the two known problems:

1. Conflicts with already-running VNC Servers
2. Lock-buttons conflicting with Banner image.

        Any feedback appreciated!

cheers,
Scott
