If the spelling mistake is coded into a servlet, I'd have to give it to a
programmer, if only because the servlet would need to be recompiled.
Your scenario helps make a case for separation of content and presentation:
the copy that needs to be fixed may sit in an XML document or other
"localstrings" file, editable by a Competent User Who Is Not a Programmer.

How about someone who is between a designer and an engineer? Someone who can
edit HTML, but can't really code? For example, someone to change a one word
spelling mistake on the homepage? Do you *really* want to task that off to
an engineer to fix?
