I am not sure about the raw data being held for a specific amount of time. I do keep paper audit reports for 7 years per our accounting group's directions. I used to work at a company where we could only see 2 weeks back in our translator for raw data and kept an audit trail for 5 years.. at my current company (a much much smaller company) we are able to keep the raw data 1 year in the translator.. anything older than that I clear out. I have went through two audits and have not had any issues with keeping or not keeping raw data as long as I had my audit reports showing each PO was processed into our ERP system and can be accounted for.
Changing ERP systems it would be wise to keep the data around.. Deleting the data doesn't sound very safe. I would opt to keep it around electronically. Good Luck! Just my 2 cents.
