Correct.  They cannot actually know unless something goes wrong.  Then when 
they start getting 'mailbag' numbers and trace the path of the documents, they 
will find out.

Some TPs weasel around this by claiming that they will 'chargeback' for any 
additional problems they have in tracking down problem.  

Many time it's BS or a hidden part of the contract with their new VAN.

It's really BS.  If you ship stuff to me, I can't really insist that you use my 
carrier...    but some TPs get away with this ;-(
