Yep, you have to consider your audience.  We expect 997's to ASN's in
4 hours.  At 9pm on Friday Saturday and Sunday I send myself a report
at my home email to see if there are any overdue ASN's.  If its one of
the big box customers who, like us, run lights out and always send me
that 997 in 4 hours ...I look into it because that may indicate a
larger issue.  If its one of the auto supply stores or smaller chains,
I let it ride until Monday morning.  Some of them have big IT depts
but they run the 997 job once a day or they don't schedule anything on
weekends when no one is there to respond if it ends abnormally.
