As a university, for decades we have benefited from Sun's academic support contract for Solaris. Solaris support for 100 nodes is in the neighborhood of $2500, and is very flexible since it based on node count not individual node licensing.
We now learn that this doesn't include OpenSolaris support, and there is no similar academic licensing for OpenSolaris. Is Sun giving up on promoting (Open)Solaris in universites? -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
