Just tried both 2008-08-12 and 2008-08-25 versions of audiohd at: http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/device_drivers/files/ without success. They did attach to the audio but I couldn't play anything I got error messages about unsupported rate, I tried mpg123, mplayer and realplayer with the same result. Even bringing up the volume control in Gnome failed, for example: % mpg123 Baudio_01.mp3 : audio: Unknown error Playing MPEG stream 1 of 1: Baudio_01.mp3 ... MPEG 1.0 layer III, 192 kbits/s, 44100 Hz joint-stereo [audio.c:264] error: No supported rate found! Had to switch back to the oss hdaudio driver and modify my suspend-to-ram script to unload this audio driver prior to doing suspend. This will work as long as I do not do suspend while running an application that uses the audio. My resume script automatically reloads the driver.
