Hi guys again I've taken up again the weekend's home firewall project, with some good news. But please lemme first introduce with the settings and screenshots I took today. Complete screenshots album is located here: http://imgur.com/a/BQ118/endian_firewall_aug_7
1) Finally RED nic dialed and connected to DSL modem using PPPoE. Just plugged cable from RED -> DSL, waited, and voila. Checked red nic logs and confirmed it connected to dsl: local ip: 186.59.13.2 public: 200.63.148.79 http://i.imgur.com/jKVsk.jpg 2) I did as you told me, disabled DHCP on WRT54G2 http://i.imgur.com/3Q4z6.jpg 3) Enabled green nic dhcp, and WRT's status showed it got an ip from green dhcp (WRT->WANPORT->GREEN) http://i.imgur.com/lan7r.jpg 4) green nic dhcp settings: http://i.imgur.com/LD5C1.jpg 5) Endian shows router is connected and ip assigned to it: http://i.imgur.com/X3jRu.jpg 6) I setup a content filter profile with all blocked, and www.facebook.com blocked for testing (still can browse http://es-ES.facebook.com but I'll research more for this specific problem later) http://i.imgur.com/jN9rt.jpg 7) Applied, tried, and WORKED! http://i.imgur.com/4PbWs.jpg connections: http://i.imgur.com/bB5Pt.jpg ============== Now lemme ask you my problematic questions: ============== A) I had to connect WRT54G2 to GREEN using a common lan port and cable (using WAN port doesn't work). What should I re-configure for connecting (if necessary) WRT to GREEN using WRT's WAN port? B) Most important: I had to configure my notebook (client) with the following settings for the stuff to work (EFW Proxy is set as transparent) http://i.imgur.com/R1O5U.jpg Which setting should I re-configure (and how) so I can set my notebook lan connection with everything as AUTOMATIC? Will RED's local ip: 186.59.13.2 influences in something for this? Thanks a lot again guys, and I apreciatte your patience for reading/helping ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.net email is sponsored by Make an app they can't live without Enter the BlackBerry Developer Challenge http://p.sf.net/sfu/RIM-dev2dev _______________________________________________ Efw-user mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/efw-user
